Financial Assistance
Essex Rowing is committed to making rowing accessible to Chelmsford student-athletes from all backgrounds, regardless of financial means. We are able to accomplish this goal by bridging the gap between what a family can afford and the actual cost of a competitive season for qualifying participants. We understand the difficulty in financing a rowing season and the associated travel and competitive fees, and will do all that we can to help make this athletic opportunity possible. Aid is awarded without regard to race, color, or national or ethnic origin, and without regard for gender, sexual orientation, creed, or scholastic affiliation. Consequently, Essex Rowing is proud to have awarded $48,900 in financial aid to athletes since the organization’s inception in November 2006.
Please use the link below to download the financial aid application. Students who receive aid through Chelmsford High School for their athletic programs or who are on free or reduced lunch should be sure to provide supporting documentation of such with their financial aid application. Applications take approximately one week to process once all materials have been recieved.

Chelmsford Crew does not offer financial aid for rowing clothing and uniforms, though team uniforms are available with a $35 deposit to those requesting them. These uniforms must be returned in same or similar condition within one week of the last competitive event each season. Uniform deposits will be forfeited if the uniform is lost, stolen, or returned with rips, stains, or is in otherwise poor condition.
